The One Stop Destination on the Costa Del Sol
Ikos Andalusia, Estepona
Twenty one acres of landscaped Mediterranean gardens, shaded by ancient olive trees, overlooking the sea, is the spectacular stetting for the new luxury all-inclusive Ikos Andalusia.
So, get planning your next holiday, and yes, definitely start getting excited; as we’ve been lucky enough to have had a sneak peek at this magnificent resort and it’s really special!
Ikos Andalusia has been created by Ikos Resorts, a collection of award-winning 5 star luxury all-inclusive destinations that started in Greece. Yet I urge you to put aside all preconceptions you may have about ‘all-inclusive’ as this resort is much more.
Just under an hours drive from Malaga Airport, we had arrived at our destination and couldn’t be more excited. Greeted by the friendly staff and check in couldn’t have been easier. Ikos have drifted away from the old school queuing style to check in and now opened a lounge area for you to sit and chill and they will come to you and arrange the check in whist you sit back and relax and start the beginning of your holiday with a cocktail.
Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Sea Front View
Checking In :
When you first glance at images of the resort, you may not get a feel of the size and possibly think its pretty large. We had booked one of the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Sea Front View Rooms, and it was on my mind how far this room maybe from reception, restaurants, entertainment etc but surprisingly the hotel just flows you don’t feel like you are wandering from one side to another and it was less than a 5 minute walk from the lobby. The hotel oozes intimacy from this and makes it feel a home from home sense.
The Ikos commitment to quality continues when it comes to the guest’s rooms. The space of the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Sea Front room sparkled and felt relaxing and calming the minute as we walked in. Natural materials and muted tones of blues, greys and creams. The terraces and balconies are elegantly furnished with day beds, hammock chairs and a place to enjoy a glass of wine. Inside expect the latest in comfort and entertainment tech; as well as a fully stocked mini bar that is included in your room rate. Bathrooms are spacious contemporary and beautifully presented and include fab toiletries by Anne Sémonin Paris.
Time to Sit Back and Relax :
The amazing swimming pools run down the centre of the resort. There are seven including a splash pad for the babies, the family pool, and even an adults-only— each with its own unique selling point. The best selling point for us at this luxury all inclusive resort is that you can order your next Pina colada whilst still soaking in the Andalusian sun by the waiter service.
If you are fancying a day by the beach, there a numerous sun loungers on the beach where you can drift off and look out to the amazing landscape to Gibralter and Morrocco. One area in particular I enjoyed by the beach were the private cabanas on the grass area which is only a stones throw away to the sea - here you get the best of both worlds.
Dining :
Often when you think of all-inclusive, you think of sub-standard buffet suppers but not at Ikos Andalusia. You have eight knock-out restaurants to choose from, which are all unique. The list is endless here at Ikos Andalucia, they have really catered to everyones tastebuds and culinary expectations.
One thing I must make note of, the popular restaurants such as Anaya, Provence and Ouzo get booked up in advance so please make sure you book in advance. If you can manage to pull yourself away from the resort, there’s a dine-out experience where you can enjoy a meal out at a nearby restaurant as part of your all-inclusive deal - Tikitano
Things to Do :
What could make an all-inclusive getaway even better?
A unique, luxury spa of course.
Indulge in a variety of treatments for both men and women for some serious holiday pampering. Something to add, any guests staying in club rooms receive a 25 minute spa treatment included in their package per person, per stay. In the same area as the spa, you’ll find an indoor heated pool (with jacuzzi) as well as a thermal suite complete with a steam room and sauna. And if fitness is your thing, you’ll be spoiled with the impressive fitness studio as well as the outdoor fitness suite (which in my opinion makes working out much easier listening to sea).
The good news is that whatever your interests, there’s something for you to do at Ikos Andalusia. Take to the water and use their non motorised water activities, jump on a bike and cycles alongside the amazing coastline, battle it out on the tennis courts or join a fitness class: there’s a lot to keep you happy and healthy at Ikos, and a lot of it is included at no extra cost.
In the evenings, you can enjoy everything from live music and theatre to movies and exclusive parties. There’s also fabulous live music most nights playing and once a week they have a themed party for all guests to attend to.
An extra special mention has to go to their exclusive Tesla Drive Adventure. Get behind the wheel of a Tesla and head out to explore the local area on this complimentary experience, simply pre-book a date to suit you with Guest Services, and remember, don’t forget your driving license.
